has anyone used one of them? i don't think the isuzu is gonna sell with the engine work it needs, but it needs to get out of here. i was thinking of calling one of these companies that say "we buy cars, running or not" to see what i can get out of it. i've looked at a couple online and it seems like a good idea, but i'm just curious if anyone has dealt with them or knows someone that has.

Yeah, they give you a lot for your trade in, and then they add that amount on to the price that you finance. You don't realize what's going on till after you sign on the dotted line.

i don't mean dealerships. these are just companies that buy junk cars, as far as i can tell. you get cash for your car.

    *edit*
well, called usedcarbuyers.com to sell the isuzu. their rep from the woodlands is supposed to be giving me a call back today. so, i guess we'll see what happens. read on their site that they part-out the 96 and up ones they buy. the site says that the vehicles they buy never see the road again.

I have sold 2 cars in the past to companies like that. One car got me $150 and the other car got me $175. Both cars were running, one of them would actually drive. Don't expect much.
