where did you get your spoiler delete done? did you actually fill the holes in and have them painted or did you just use plugs?

I went the cheap route and just used plugs that I bought at autozone. I put a couple coats of duplicolor red paint on them which matched a whole lot better then I ever thought it would and sealed them with a little bit of silicone. Ive had the spoiler off for about 5 months now and the plugs are still holding up great. I was thinking about gettting a body shop to fill them in, but I actually want to buy the JHP lip spoiler sometime.

absoutley. i've wanted to do it since the day i bought the car. but most places want $300-$500.

it's 2 small holes that need to be filled and painted.

It is actually 4 holes, and only the big hole that the brake light wires go through will leak into the trunk. The other small holes are on the outside of the trunk and just run out to the ground basicly. Ya I had it quoted cause I was thinking about getting it done and was quoted around $450 to weld the holes shut and repaint the trunk lid. Ive also heard stories of peoples trunk lids getting warped from the heat from the welder so that kind of made a little hesitant to getting it welded also.

it wont warp if it is done right at a respectable shop. the shop that i know does it, has hooked up countless people ie, wrx,sti,srt4. and his finished product is really impressive

I've never seen one. They wouldn't be in very high demand if they did. Not too many gto owners in the first place and even less that want a spoiler delete.
I couldn't remember if it was 2 or 4 holes. It's been a while since I researched it.

Thanks for the warning. I've never heard or that.
