Can Ford defeat the foreign devil?
Didn't watch the vid yet, but they are basically the same car underneath and have been that way for the past several years.
Both are slow.
Don't care about outcome.
Slow ass 420 hp Ford Focus
Yes! I love the Focus RS. The MK2 RS is one of Ford's best ever cars. Ford didn't release the car in the U.S. because they were afraid that it would rival the Mustang(which the Focus RS is a superior car in every way)
Oh, so that's what you want to do today?
You want to fight?
Hahahaha! Well even a base model Focus RS with 305hp does rival the Mustang. If Ford would have sold it in the U.S. Mustang sales would have been crippled. Maybe saying that it's superior was an overstatement, but it's still a damn good car.
So then you are saying, in turn, that the Focus RS also rivals the BMW M3?
It might be a shock to you, but the person truly interested in a v8 Mustang would probably not be swayed by a Focus.
Focus cripple mustang sales? Lol that's funny. The mazdaspeed 3 is almost a 1/2 sec quicker in the 1/4 and 4mph faster. The ms3 comes with a LSD as well, so it wins in my book. I can't believe you would think a focus would cripple mustang sales.
If I was going to buy a little Hot Hatch I would get the Focus. The Mazda may be a tick faster but it has that stupid grin....
Focus looks like catfish. Both are unattractive.
Catfish I can live with. The VW is the pretty one.
Speed 3 is a better car. I have the speed 3 and it does like to push. However, it has a pull like no other 4cyl.
Ok I take your word for it.
My dad is a gm at ford dealership. Oh well, I mean the focus is a gd car. When it comes to powa. MS3
i'll take the ford focus interior with the ms3 everything else.
I'll take none of the above for $200, Alex.
i wasn't referring to the Focus ST, i was talking about the European Focus RS.
MS3 topspped 156
Focus RS topspeed 163
The 2013 MS3 is a 263hp engine, the 2010 Focus RS has 305hp.
One of the best sport compact cars in the world right now is the RS, and it's not available in North America, but it's made by an American car company. What other reason can you give as to why Ford didn't release it in the U.S.? The Focus RS has won more than 40 WRC championships since 1999, it is a very competitive car, and a very popular car throughout the rest of the world, but the American car manufacturer won't release it in America? It has also been proven that the American Focus SVT consistently produces better SCCA autocross times than a Cobra mustang. The Mustang will murder it on the drag strip, but in the corners a Cobra can't touch a Focus.
2008 Shelby Mustang 1/4 mile time 13.8
2009 Focus RS 1/4 mile time 13.77
Why again didn't Ford release the car in the U.S.?
Look, I like Mustangs, but I have always wondered why Ford didn't release one of it's Flagship cars in the U.S.
Your logic is an elephant balanced on the end of a broomstick.
I guess Nissan didn't sell the Skyline here in the states because it would cripple 300ZX sales?
