Very true to life for Austin in the early 70's for sure. Knew a chick in my highschool that drove a Poncho just like that one. We all had muscle cars, we all partied like that so pretty much true story. I watched with an old bud from Austin and were going on that guy is Rick and that guy is definately Jim and remember those two freaks in the 72 GTO? It was fucking great. The pool hall was Moyers on 51st. You guys would have loved growing up in that time. So much cooler and freer than now. I feel sorry for HS kids these days. To give you guys an idea. Some of the cars at my school.

Two Dodge Dart GTS 383s my 67 and Kenny's 68
8 Road Runners 68 to 70 the fastest was Mark Mazetti's
At least 6 GTOs Denny had a Convertible 66 and Cliff had 67, Gail had a 71
Another Denny had a 68 Charger RT with a 440 that had been built it was running in the low 11s high tens and was the fastest car at school, Randy had 68 Fastback Stang with a 428 that wasn't stock, he got a ticket for doing 145 coming back from a football came in San Antonio, my buddies Chris and Dave had 289 66 Mustang Fastbacks, Chris's was white 289 4 speed 4 barrel car with about 300 hp and Dave had a black one with a 289 HiPo 325 hp and a 4 speed. George had a 454 70 Chevelle. There were hopped up 55s 57s 63s Chevys 390 Ford Fairlanes 1969 70 Mach ones Cudas Challengers and on and on. You guys would piss yourselves if you could have seen the school parking lot in 70 to 77.

I knew a dozen guys just like him. I could have been the guy in the Blue swinger except my car was faster than that and I wasn't a dick.

That is what my dad tells me all the time. I hate him for the cars he no longer has.

The notables of his cars and most of which he has a pic or two of.

    -3 Challengers including 1 '70 440 6pack 4 speed in black
-'67 gt390 mustang done up in GT500 stuff with a hot 351 boss swapped in he killed the 390
    -Coronet vert, 383
-'70 455 Stage1 Grand Sport (that he sold to my grandmother when he bought the first Challenger and she hauled her boat with it)
    -Plymouth Satellite Sport w/ a 383.
    - Flatfender Jeep CJ
