CC306 and AFR 195cc eliminator heads better mpg than stock form.
Before my rebuild I was getting maybe 10mpg city/ 15-17 hwy.
I went on a road trip this weekend, first one since the build up, and covered over 500 miles averaging 22.34 MPG@ 72mph through an A4 with yank ss3600. Honestly I was expecting 18-20 mpg hwy. In town I'm pulling 13-15 mpg which is decent. For those who still wonder about the cc306 being streetable, this cam is great. Ya it's an old grind, but it's solid! I still get a slight cam surge but u get used to it quick. My passengers don't notice the surge but I do. The heads are a bit over kill for a 355, but again, no drivability issues. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too. Haven't made it to a dyno yet, but I'm expecting 420-430 to the wheels. Maybe after the dyno I can even get a few more miles per gallon. **

I'd take it to Extreme Horsepower in North Richland Hills and let them do a dyno tune while you've got it on the dyno.

Nice! My 94 Z28 sure sucks the gas all stock. Maybe it needs cam/heads and a tune this winter :)
