LOOKS LIKE A ASTIN MARTIN TO ME
LOOKS LIKE A ASTIN MARTIN TO ME????????????????????
DOES IT REALLY!??!?!?! DO YOU THINK IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF ONE OF THE LEAD DESIGNERS AT FORD USED TO WORK FOR ASTON MARTIN?!?!?
...fail. The rear half looks terrible.
YOU MEAN A MAJOR COMPANY WOULD ACTUALLY HIRE SOMEONE WHO HAS SUCCESSFUL JOB EXPERIENCE?
Interestingly enough the Ford Probe was supposed to be the succesor to the mustang.
Ford will never be able to produce anything that will top the Mustang. It has way too much heritage. It defined an entire class of cars. The blueprint for any car that would be a potential competitor. Without the Mustang the Camaro would never have existed. Creating a rivalry that has lasted generations.
On a side note. The new model will likely still have some retro cues to link the new model to the Mustang's heritage. Every Mustang has had something in the design that link itself to the cars history.

One could go as far to say neither the Mustang nor Camaro (hell even Muscle Cars) wouldn't have existed had it been for the Corvette. When the first Corvette concept was shown in 1953, it changed EVERYTHING.
Then in 1964 the GTO was released and defined what a true muscle car was.
Absolutely. To be fair though, the Corvette was the first true American sports car. There were some less than desirable years but the Corvette has proven itself to be a real contender on and off the track.
The mustang is what started the pony car wars. People were sleeping in them so they wouldnt get sold out from underneath them.
