I've only ever had one Mustang, was a 1966 fastback. I spent a lot of time documenting the two major builds I have ever done, and both times I passed all of it on the the buyer. the closest I can find to my 66 is this:

Don't know what is all in that one, but mine had a 427 high riser and mini-tub into a built C5 and slightly narrowed 9". I had the same style wheels but full chrome. Do miss that car, but wasn't the car I was looking for when I got it so ended up selling it and going back on the hunt.

haha im trying to work my way up.. I still own the first and the last.
Impressive!

I used to own a 1967 Notch, my dad had a 1965 notch. I don't care for the looks of many Mustangs mfg. after 1970.

1971-1973 = Too big
1974-1993 = Too ugly
1994-Current = Hit or miss (some look sharp, others look like carp)

Current Mustang looks good.

This made me lol, because it's soo true. I know a lot of guy's like this, they do all the work on their folks car and drive it often, but it "belongs" to their parents.

i was thinking mark VIII on high boost, or a aftermarket block 408 on high boost. either engine should be good for 1000rwhp if built right i would think. don't get it wrong with my budget it will probably only be around 600-700 rwhp, but that in a strip down manual everything coupe should be a blast.
to be honest i would like to buy a stock gt motor and put it in my 03 and use my KB 2.1 motor in the coupe. it's making 455 rwhp and 520ftlbs with stock heads and cams, so 600-700 wouldn't be hard to achieve with H/C's/ and 114 oct.

Never owned a Mustang, but I saw one at a car show a while back that I really liked. It said it was a 1970 Mach I but using my google skills the closest picture to what I could remember was this, which says it is a 73. The show was a year ago so maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

Aha found the pictures I took at that show. Here it is, and the sign does say 1970, so I guess my brain still works somewhat.

It was head to head facing this one:

Nice, should be a fun project! My next one will be a notch with a 3V Gt motor in it I think. Wanna do somethin a little different.

2, and both were '69s.

The first was original white on white, and I built and aluminum head roller motor for it, which ended up in the ZX351 Focus.

and the one I have now

A 427 in a Mach1 1? That's not factory. You get the 351W, 390, or 428CJ/SCJ. Mine is a 351W with a few mods, and a 4 speed.

Just the GT I have now. Would LOVE to get a '65 fastback and restore it though - I'm confident I'll make it happen before I kick the bucket =)

Only one. Ordered a new Mustang in November 1969 when I go back from Nam - a dark green 1970 Fastback w/ 351 Cleveland 4BBL, Hurst T-bar 4 spd, 390 Traction Lok rear, F70x14 WW tires. It was a real sleeper. Paid $3351 - $500 down, $91 a month for 3 years. Other options included heavy duty suspension, heavy duty cooling, factory tint, and the ultimate stereo set-up - 8-track! Best street race was w/ a 440 Charger - he finally pulled me on the big end (half mile). And yes, I miss that car.

I have owned a 1993 SSP / DEA or FBI Black 5.0. Evidenced by DSO tag, calibrated speedo, trunk release. No '93 SSP stangs saw highway patrol duty in MN where car is from, so ATF DEA or FBI is my guess. Was quick on the highway, but I would rather have had an 89-92.
