The K series isn't worth it when it comes to old school Civics IMO. I mean, sure 300 whp on a n/a build is cake with the K series it just looks out of place in those old hatches. Plus the wiring is a PITA. The cost of a K20a is more than the cost of a full B18C build these days. Hell you can get a Spoon built long block for the cost of a k20a.

The 8th gens are generally better on road courses, autox and time attacks. The Hatches are generally faster on the street/strip.

I give you the Mugen RR Advanced:

If they could, they replaced it with carbon fiber, stroked it to 2.2L and tuned the hell out of the entire set-up. Fastest "factory" Civic at Tsukuba ever. Hell, it was the fastest in it's class...ever.

It's 2,400lbs, 260hp and a 9k red line to top it off. This car was made to be the king of all FF sport compacts.

I remember that pink hatch when it was in SS. Guy has amazing builds, I've seen tons of k series swaps but can't imagine what that Fit looks like inside and out.

Perhaps, but it looks nice enough to me to post and add at least a bit of variety. Then again I'm a ricer and have nothing against body kits of various fashions.

Honda owners are pulling out all the stops these days. There is way more quality, attention to detail, and money than most of the domestic owners put into their cars and who constantly give them shit.

I can understand for certain people. It's good when you have shops wanting to help you build cars. I had body work, paint, wheel offers, just for a sticker. I noticed if you get out of the game for a while you fall out of the circles.

Fine lmgtfy

Change to images and the third one in is the kid from yospeed.com. The kid that makes the aluminium door jam things. Ohh, and there is a way for sedan owners to get an oem lip spoiler...off the hybrid

IMO the Mugen one looks better on the FA and the lip looks better on the FG. When done the other way they just look out of place to me.

I assume you were talking about the one a couple links down from the normal link? yeah I'm not a fan of that either. The Mugen spoiler we speak of is similar to the Supra TRD spoiler in appearance. It's an effective design and many applications have borrowed it to date. Easy way to correct the attitude of the car's rear end w/o going all GT wingy.

If it made it to full track dedication, the hell yeah. It's a simple design that is used at the highest levels of racing. Doubt my car will reach the level...

Beauty of GT wings is that they're removable.

But honestly I'd rather pick one of these for a dedicated track car.

It would be hard to track down but if someone could keep a 72 Civic this clean and mod it...would be a feat as 90% of everything would be custom.

As long as the toe is proper the camber can be crazy. Sure they won't last as long as 0-1.5* but you can't get that low with wheels that big on 0-1.5*.

Was surfing the net and found a blog by Speed Hunters when they covered the Montegi Super American Sunday. Most of the blog was filled with very nice American classics, Vipers, Vettes and that sort. Then I stumbled on something that I had read about some time back. The Japanese are doing what they call USJDM builds. Anyone in the import scene knows that our JDM builds tend to be a little off. Lots of USDM still in the car, well they took it and started doing identical builds. Only thing is it's harder to get US parts in Japan than it is to get Japanese parts in the US. Here is an excellent example of what I'm talking about.

Those Mugens have become next to impossible to source in Japan lol.

you should google USDM Jams. It's pretty entertaining seeing Japanese tuners trying to build US cars. There's a few LHD conversions.
