Well I plan on going to Rockfalls May 3rd Test and Tune, I know there has been talk of others who wanted to make the trip. So I'm posting this to see how much interest there is and try to get organized a little as well. If I remember correctly tech starts at 8am racing at 9am and goes until 3pm or 4pm. Admission is $69 and you get $10 refunded if you only stay for the test and tune portion. The track prep is usually good and you can easily get 5 or more runs in letting your car cool between runs. If you hot lapped it all day I'm sure 15+ passes would be possible.

This is up for discussion please post up in this thread about where and when you think would work best for this. I usually stay out at MikeD's house the night before and leave from there to the track 10-15min. I can stay back to meet up with everyone and leave as a group this time though. I'm thinking near the MN/WI border sometime around 7 am.

I will be there as well. There are a few other groups coming out too. There will be very high horsepower guys running on the 3rd. I was talking to a friend of mine with a C6 Z06 making roughly 600 rwhp, and he said he will be basically the bottom of the totem pole out there running that day. Also Marty's TT Porsche 996 will be out there that day too. For those of you that missed it at the meet, you'll definitely want to come check it out at the track.

Cause of all the loud slow cars. Its like the pain lasts forever. Don't get me wrong there will be a ton of badass cars there and you get to see all of the areas imports, but its just not for me.

theres one group in specific i absolutely hate... lets just say, they are LOUD and obnoxious, and either red or green... and from south america... god those things are fuckin slow and ugly and loud.

other then that, most the imports are decent. my headache only comes from riding back after a full days of running... thats why i bought a trailer..no more aches and pains for the following days... LOL

the diffeence with brackets is you get eliminated. if you lose your first run you are done.

looks like i will get as many passes as i want this go around. Car is only sitting at about 550 hp and 600tq because of the issues we had on the dyno.

What problems at the Dyno?

it would not hold any timing with out starting to detonate. Dan thinks maybe a bad tank of gas is to blame.

Andy just told me it was an injector issue. a bad conection with the extenders we had to use. he is fixing it right now, but the miss is gone. the car is going to be slow though right now, but it will be fun still.

Glad to hear it was something simple, slow is fine you'll still be quicker than me. I'm hoping to hit 11's. I think with drag radials, a cam and a tune I should of gained enough to go from 12.5 to 11.999 but who knows.

maybe, but with no instant boost it might be a dog on the line. If i can figure out how to set up the SCT 2 step tomorrow i might try that which would at least give me 5#'s or so out of the hole. people say it is alot like leaving on nitrous when you have it working well.

That was one hell of an exciting trip!

Pretty eventful day to say the least, I went 11.92 yesterday so I am happy with the results for now, it may have a little left in it I was getting some wheel spin off the line and on the 1->2 shift. I've got video's and pictures of everyone that I'm uploading and will post tonight.

You better go get that physical if you want to be faster! "Sir, turn your head and give me two good coughs and then I will give you your NHRA license." Lol! It was tough watching from the sidelines but I had a blast at the track with all of you. Cant wait to go and run once the long tubes, pro chamber, cat back, new block ported and polished, and cams are installed June 16th. Pretty fucken excited! But we should plan another outing out there again soon. Hopefully next time AJ wont bail out on me! j/k AJ. But maybe this time we should camp out somewhere nearby the night before. Im open to any ideas.
