Good news, today I locked in a location for the up and coming RKC Monday Night Meet for Minnesota!

New Beijing restaurant is proud to host the weekly Monday Night RKC- Minnesota meet! It is located right off of hwy 494 and hwy 5 right off of Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie, MN, next to Rainbow Foods and Snyders Pharmacy. Located 20min southwest of downtown Minneapolis and 25min southwest from downtown St Paul, it is within a 10-15min drive from Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Shakopee, Chanhassen, Chaska, Bloomington and all other major suburbs. Northern suburbs such as Anoka, Blaine, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center will see a 30min drive that will be well worth it!

This location works well because it has a HUGE parking lot and the owner is a car enthusiast himself. He owns a 96 Dodge Viper GTS (that is not stock) and has had Supra Turbos, Corvettes, STi's in the past. He should be signing up on the site soon too. :D In other words, he wants the meet at his place!

Okay, the first ever RKC Monday Night Meet in MN will be on Monday, June 11th! A little bit far off but I want to make sure I spread the word that these meets are going down!

no idea yet, but I have this posted on a number of local forums and I am getting people interested. I'm hoping the word spreads! I'm printing out fliers right now to hand out at a car show tomorrow.

It's called editing. Don't worry about how the car looks right now it's more about getting together with different car people and seeing what's out there and learning what's going on. If you have seen the videos from the bigger meets you can't count the amount of cars there and it's all in the editing that makes the videos. I have been hanging for a while but my avatar is the only place your likely to see my truck around here. My cars aren't even on there. :lmao:

Go out and enjoy. Everyone has had a beater in their life and we all have to start somewhere. The good thing is you can start with RKC and not the group from "come rice with me."

my 98 super sonic blue gsr was stollen a week after i bought it, i was lucky and got it back with the motor still in it but about 4k worth of parts missing.

it took me 2 years to rebuild it. my insurance never payed for it because the said i violated policy when i left it in i high risk theft area (maplewood mall).

so i feal your pain about ever letting it out of your sight, mine almost never leaves my garage and when it does it only to stay in town, i dont think i have put 400 miles on it after i got it back

and when i do go out i park buy the windows and sit infront of it watching it like a hawk, or i make my gf run in and get whatever we came for.

I might have to attend said meet.

What time range are these meets at? On mondays i usually i get off at around 6 and lift after that which takes it to around 8 pm or so along with the next 2 hours taking in a lot of food..... so that might be a problem for me :(

Well, now I've got a question. I just joined up recently, so this may sound like a stupid question. I know most of you are bringing down some pretty formidable rides, but that's an area where I'm a little lacking. When I went into college my mustang had to go back in the weeds and I haven't got around to getting it back on the road yet. Right now I'm basically driving a 2007 unimpressive econobox. So my question is, is there parking around back where I can hide the damn thing or something? I plan on getting something better in a year or two, but for the time being, I just want to do my part to support the cause.

Rock on. Yeah, she's completely stock right now. You know the other day, just for shits and giggles, I went to see what they had for performance add ons for it. So I search the internet expecting to see turbo options, superchargers, exhaust systems, hell even a friggen performance chip....and nothing. All I find for it are fart cans, hideous body kits, and sites that want to sell me god awful wheels for it. At this point I'm thinking WTF, and then I come across one done for SEMA. I'm thinking alright! maybe someones put a little work into the drivetrain, so I read up on it to see what they've done. Yeah, I had my hopes a little too high, all they did was add a body kit that must've doubled the weight of the car, added wheels that I wouldn't take if they were given to me, and had done absolutly nothing to the engine. F-ing ricers with deep pockets, if they had just taken some of the money they spent on neon paint and fiberglass, and put in into the engine, they could have probably made a car that could have effectively launched itself into orbit.
